BURJ DUBAI RULES

Current Height and Time Line of Events
As of October 27, 2007 Burj Dubai's official website reported its height to be 585.7 m (1,922 ft), with 156 completed stories. It has now become the world's tallest structure of any type ever built. (Wikipedia)
My cab driver, (right) snuck me through the endless construction zone to this man who was in charge of the Burj security. As you can tell, I made it right up to the base of the tower.

INDIA! INDIA!

Laksmi GOD OF WEALTH AND PROSPERITY.

that's cool huh?

INDIA GHANDI DAY

"Ghandi Day" was this Tuesday. He's on every Rupee money bill. Ghandi brought India to Independance.

INDIA FAX

There are 1.7 BILLION people here. And you notice it right away. There are people everywhere. EVERYWHERE!

INDIA is the world's largest democracy. Indians value business and hard work. So many small businesses. There is a serious class difference here. Many rich, even more homeless. I can see homeless people who live under the bridge in front of the SAR.

INDIANS rule. Seriously, I wandered around town today and went to poor neighborhoods and rich neighbotborhoods. I stand out and people flocked around me. Not once did I feel like I wasn't welcome. The people of India are kind, smart and caring.

Channai used to be called Madras. The Brittish named the city and India changed the name to Chennai after they claimed independance. Chennai is the 34th largest city in the world, more people than Miami, and you've never heard of it have you?

Everyone calls me "sir" and I hate that cuz it makes me feel old.

In Chennai they speak TAMIL. It's a combo of English and a native language. Weird to hear cuz I understand like 25% of what they say.

Why do the people here bobble their heads? Don't get it.

I've been mistaken for an Australian like 7 times!! WOW that never happens. I thougth I had USA written on my forehead.

SACRED COWS LIVE IN INDIA

Yes, it's true, they roam the streets.

BAY OF BENGAL INDIA

I'm sitting on the beach here in Chennai in the Bay of Bengal. In 2004 there was a Tsunami that destroyed many countries. India lost 10,749 people here on his beach and in the south of the country where we are. Sri Lanka, which is not far off the coast, broke many of the waves, but this beach was affected seriously. As I stand here, I wonder..... has the US ever lost people of this magnitute to a natural disaster?

See the puppy under the boat? There are so many homeless dogs in this city. It's tough for me. They are everywhere and trying to survive. Smart dogs they are! I see them cross trafic and know how to do it in a busy intersection. I see them care for their pups. They all have pups.... The dog family across from the SAR amaze me.

Lola, you are a lucky pup indeed.

INDIA FOOD ROCKS!

WOW!

Seriously, the food is amazing. The breakfast is awesome, the lunches, the dinners, the deserts. I haven't felt my tongue or lips in 8 days, but who cares?

INDIA SNAKE!

A man on tv was being attacked by a snake but another man came in with a flute and saved him. Thank Ganesa! (elephantgod!)

INDIA MALL

silk!

GROSS INDIA!

My face is so gross after a day of selling in the city. This is my face towlat the end of the day ... yeah ICK!

INDIA "AUTOS"

So many people that cars are not seen in the city like bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, and the cool little taxis called AUTOS.

SIGN*A*RAMA INDIA

Ravi and his partner Daniel have the MAster for all of India and I'm setting up the flagship.

INDIA TRANSPORT

Pram, the General manager of the Sign*A*Rama and I worked all over the city and he drove me on his scooter! He came out of the store carrying a helmet and I asked why he had one and he said "I will get a ticket if I don't have a helmet on the highway, now get on!" IT WAS CRAZY.

GOD NATARAJA

He's a big one. Drum in the top left hand, fire in the right, stompin on a demon, and the world is around him. He bestows the best in you grace and goodness.
